3-in-1 Mobility Aid

Bridgette was recently hospitalized with an Acute Liver Injury of unknown etiology and has had to stop all her DMARDs (Arthritis Medication). The day after her discharge she dusted off her private-pay power wheelchair and had a beautiful outing with her boyfriend, Carl {Picture included}. When returning home the metal front-wheel connection got caught on the door lip and shredded. We have contacted wheelchair repairs companies that are unsafe and non-repairable. Bridgette’s wheelchair is lifeline to her.

We are fundraising for Bridgette to purchase a new private pay wheelchair. The 3-in-1 mobility aid works as a power wheelchair, walker, & transport chair. It can be used in her recovery as she learns to walk again.

All funds raised will be used to purchase a private pay Rollz Motion Performance walker with an electric wheelchair conversion kit. She is in the process of getting a custom wheelchair that would partially-covered by insurance. Unfortunately, the lead time for overing the custom power wheelchair is anywhere from 12-18 months.

Any excess funds will be used for additionally “disability accessories”. These include shower grab bars, ADA apartment modifications, IV access clothing, wheelchair accessories (rain cover, storage bag).

Any unused funds will be donated to a local NYC non-profit that assists community members all ages with mobility supplies at no cost.
