The Brooklyn Lightning Track Club was formed in 2013 with the mission of encouraging youth in Coney Island to run and be exposed to the sport of Track and Field.
Our goal is to help youth develop lifelong skills on the track that will help them to excel off the track in every aspect of life.
We are pursuing the opportunity to compete on a national level this year. We're aiming to compete in the USA Track & Field(USATF) Junior Olympics and the Amateur Athletic Union(AAU) Junior Olympics.
In order to make this vision a reality, we are in need of support. We are raising funds to cover our trip, but also purchase uniforms, sneakers, and pay for entry fees for our athletes.
