Best Family Rwanda - ITARA

Best Family Rwanda is an organization that focuses on family preservation by providing wholistic care to the children and families in our programs. 

Best Family Rwanda serves three communities within the capital city of Kigali. We began in the southwestern sector of Gikondo back in 2004. Then in 2013 we continued into the northern sector of Kinyinya and worked primarily in villages established by the government for widowed survivors of the 1994 genocide. In 2014, we expanded into the southeastern sector of Nyarugunga, a village built by the government for widows and also for injured military veterans.

Most recently, Best Family Rwanda launched the ITARA program to help ten mothers in Kinyinya to learn the craft of sewing to create high end artisan products with the goal of developing a sustainable income for their families.  

The Garden has the blessed opportunity to strategically partner with Best Family Rwanda to ensure that 100% of all proceeds from donations and sales within the US will directly benefit the ITARA mothers and their artisan business.
