What is CIY MOVE? CIY MOVE is a 5-day Christian retreat designed especially for youth. During the retreat, students attending CIY MOVE are challenged through intense, interactive worship, dynamic preaching, small group study, and community building. The goal of CIY MOVE is to amplify Christ’s call for Kingdom workers amongst students and create disciples for the transformation of the world.
In 2014, FUMC Hayward sent 4 youth and 2 chaperones to La Mirada, Ca to attend CIY MOVE; we had no idea what to expect. It. Was. LIFE CHANGING.
What now? In 2015, FUMC Hayward is excited to announce that we are going back to CIY MOVE!! This year we are planning to take all 26 youth and 4 chaperones; no one gets left behind!!
This is where you come in…
BUY A MILE! is how you can help us all get to CIY MOVE and back without leaving anyone behind. The distance from Hayward to La Mirada is 375 miles. We are asking that you support us by spreading the word about BUY A MILE! and by making a commitment to sponsor at least 1 mile of our 375 Mile trip. 1 mile costs $30 so sponsoring 1 Mile would cost $30, sponsoring 2 Miles would cost $60, etc.
We cannot do this without the help and support of our friends, family and colleagues and are prayerful that God will provide. Please consider being part of this amazing opportunity to support 26 young people’s walk with Christ and please keep the Youth of FUMC Hayward in your prayers!
