Avery's Angels

Donation protected
Avery is currently at UC Davis Medical center in the Pediatric ICU. On Sunday November 2nd, Avery fell unconscious at his home in Ione, and was rushed to Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson. From there, a bleed in the left side of Avery's brain was discovered and he was life-flighted to UC Davis, where he is currently in a medically induced coma. He is being treated for a severe brain hemorrhage, and has had a part of his skull surgically removed to alleviate pressure. Avery is an incredibly couragous, and autistic 6 year old, and has proven to be a true fighter. There are many answers his family does not have about the cause of his illness, and the full prognosis for Avery is not yet known.

**Update** Avery is making strides, and his condition is improving, undoubtedly thanks to all of the healing prayers and thoughts sent his way. While still sedated, he is out of the paralytic state, with Doctor's hopes to come off of the medication for sedation next week. He's had the staples from his head removed, as well as his pressure monitor and drain from his brain, and his catheter! Big steps for this little guy!

Avery and family are taking this day by day, and are in need of continued healing thoughts and prayers. The family has already incurred thousands of dollars in medical expenses, and they are anticipating an extremely extended hospital stay. If you can be one of Avery's Angels, send prayers, healing thoughts, and help by way of any amount, words cannot not express enough gratitude.

From Maria, Mike, Avery, River, Rowen, Jackson, and the Coder and Ortiz families, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
