Medical Fund for Autism Teacher
My Mother, a special education teacher of children with autism, was diagnosed with Stage 4b Endometroid Adenocarinoma, favor cervical cancer. She went through 2 MRI's, 1 PET scan, 2 surgeries with the latter being a radical hysterectomy, 2 blood transfusions and 7 days in the hospital. Now she will be receiving a Mediport to start serious chemotherapy.
Her health insurance covers 80 percent after her deductable is met, leaving her with thousands of dollars in medical bills. On a teacher's salary, she does not have much money left over to pay these medical bills and needs help. Funds are needed now since the bills are already coming in. Any contribution for these bills will be greatly appreciated as this situation is urgent.
Her children are waiting for her to come back to school.
Update: I have completed 6 treatments of the chemo medicine Taxol. I then had a PET scan to see the results of the chemotherapy. It showed that all the cancer was gone from where it was before. Great news! My cost of the PET scan is $350.00.
Afterwards, my doctor required a CT scan for blood clots. Again my cost is another $350.00. Additionally the PET scan showed 4 nodules in my thyroid. I will be having a thyroid scan with uptake on May 15th to determine if they are cancerous or benign. My cost for this should be $400.00.
All of this brings new bills of $1,100.00, not counting doctors visits. If anyone can help me with these costs it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support!
