Austin Forrest's Recovery

2017 is a year that has blessed our brother in Christ, Austin Forrest, with many life changing events. From marrying his lovely wife Naomi, to purchasing their first home, this year has been charmed with many accomplishments, paving a rewarding and challenging lifelong path to the fulfillment and joy that every newly formed family aspires to enjoy.
October 17th would bring yet another life changing event, another chapter of challenge to Austin and his family. In the midst of a busy sales day, Austin was struck head on by an oncoming motorist. Having suffered a severed leg and with all limbs crushed, Austin fought for the better part of 2 hours as first responders struggled to extricate him from the wreckage. Survival was tenuous at best, as it took all of his remaining strength to muster a response that was necessary to allow for the Med-Flight to transport him. Twice within this journey from wreckage to trauma unit in Columbus, his heart stopped. Yet, miraculously, he survived.
After multiple surgical procedures and through immense pain, Austin was able to get into a wheelchair by Halloween afternoon, a true testament to his strength and will to survive! Praise God!
Recovery is going well, but many procedures are still required, and the road ahead is lengthy. In this time of thanks and inspired by the strength of our leader (Austin's Dad Kevin), our Region 11 Team, has collectively pondered our best means to assist in Austin's full recovery, thus this campaign.
