Aupaluk School

Thanks to everyone's support we have tripled our goal. This will be more than enough to replace personal items lost to kids. Thanks to everyone who donated or shared the message with friends.




This is a fund to help the community of Aupaluk, which recently lost their school and community hub in a fire. The government of Quebec and the Kativik school board are working hard to replace what was lost and make plans to rebuild a new school. However there will be items either not covered by those funds or needed before the new supplies can arrive. This is a fund to take care of those items most needed by the Aupaluk students. It will focus on more replacing items lost to the students (clothing, sports equipment, personal school items) than on restocking the temporary new school. Many people have approached me asking where they can send money or how they can help out. I've made this site so we can pool all donations and decide collectively where the money should be spent. Thank you all for your generosity, I know the students, teachers, and community of Aupaluk appreciate it very much.
