This was me in September of 2012 after a near death experience that is when I was told I was going to die if I didn't get a new heart.
My name is Bill. I will soon be 63. My Story is a long one, but I'll try to keep this short. Three years ago I was given the Gift Of Life . I had spent the greater portion of 2012 & 2013 in the CICU at Loyola University Medical Center Hospital . My heart was failing and my organs were starting to shut down and I wasn't expecpting to walk out of the hoppital at that point. Luckiky 3am January 1st, 2014 I was awaken by the entire staff of the CICU wishing a Happy New Year and tell me they had found a heart for me.

I have made it my mission to honor my donor by raising Oragan & Tissue awareness. I intend to be the first recorded heart transplant to hike the Appalachian Trail and in the process hope to register 2,190 new Organ & Tissue donors. My intended start date is 4/14/2017 leaving form Springer Mtn, Ga heading North to Baxter State Park in Maine. I have put together the funds for my gear and the hike itself, but I need your help covering the costs of the six monthly trips on and off the trail for medical testing and check ups.
I have already registered 22 new donors thru the link on my website at-tinman.com. My entire story can be found there. Each donor I register can affect the lives of up to a dozen people of the over 200,000 individuals that are now on different waiting lists.
