On January 2nd 2018 at 1:45 pm We received the devastating news that our Beloved Sweet Asia Bella Rose has a rare Cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma or “Arms” Stage 3. Our Family was in Seattle at Childrens Hospital at 6:00 a.m January 3rd 2018 and Asia was in the Pet Scan machine by 7:00 am . The testing went on until 5:00 pm that day.
What we know now: Diagnosis confirmed. “Arms” Stage 3.
Asia will have a port put into her chest and a bone marrow biopsy on Wednesday January 9th and Intense Chemo heavy doses will start Saturday January 12th 2018.
Asia will get Chemo doses every week for 43 Weeks. Every third week she will get chemo everyday of that week. This Rare Cancer type is extremely fast growing. Asia will be living in Seattle Longterm for a year. We are trying to figure out how and where half of our family will relocate to full time.
Its the kind of news that stops your world and brings you to your knees. The kind you only think of in nightmares. This is a nightmare! Devastation. In a matter of minutes you realize your life as you know it has changed, must change and it’s out of your control.
Many challenges lay ahead Asia her mother and Have relocated to Seattle for at least a year for Asia’s longterm Chemo treatment, Housing,Travel, doctors bills, change in work status to physical therapy.
If Asia has good days we will come home to the tricities between weekly chemo treatments when she stabilizes after heavy dose weeks so she can see her extended family and her tons of school friends at Mac Middle School in Pasco. But this isn’t even an option for atleast 6+ months. #AsiaBellaStrong
