Ashley's Heart Healing Fund

Hello everyone! I'm Tiffany Terral and I'm writing this on behalf of one of my sweetest and longest best friends, Ashley White Sinclair.  I've created everything on this platform under her name so she has instant access to it all.  Ashley has lived with a host of medical problems starting with two strokes and a mini stroke by age 21. Around this time, Ashley gave birth to a beautiful little boy that has turned into a quite handsome 12 year old fellow who is active in band! At age 23 she had an atrial septal defect (hole in her heart) repaired! Well less than a year later, she had heart surgery for inappropriate sinus tachycardia! Ashley also suffers from severe chronic esophagitis, chronic gastritis, Ehlers Danlos syndrome, COPD, and severe asthma. The crazy thing is, she hasn’t let all this stop her. She has been a fitness model, fashion model, swimsuit model, paramedic, and was even going to take her GRE to get her Master’s degree! She would love to get her Master's Degree to enter counseling and become a patient advocate so she can help others navigate their troubled waters. She married Scott in 2012 and things seemed to be going great. Two weeks after the wedding Scott was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury, or TBI. He has had a difficult time recovering and as such is unable to work like he did before in the supplement business.

Ashley’s health took another turn and she had heart surgery for superventricular tachycardia (SVT) last December. Recovery time for this surgery is 3 months, and by 6 months she was constantly having trouble breathing and trouble keeping her heart rate and blood pressure down. Her electrophysiologist elected to implant a Linq Reveal heart monitor June 25th so she could be monitored. During the December surgery, she had a multitude of ablations(radiofrequency burns)to her heart to correct the SVTs and atypical atrial flutters and will likely need more in the future.

Ashley has received home health and home physical therapy since June. In July, when she worked with her physical therapist by walking slowly 10-15 minutes, her blood pressure would spike, she'd retain fluid, have trouble breathing and she would be dizzy and nauseous the rest of the day. Anytime she stood on her feet this would happen and would have to take extra lasix to get the fluid down. It was concluded that she has a weakened heart muscle, which in turn means her heart isn't pumping strong like it needs to and is becoming deconditioned and inhibiting her healing process. She has also been experiencing severe edema as described earlier, similar to those with congestive heart failure. Last Wednesday, August 20th, she was diagnosed with Immunoglobulin G Deficiency, or IgG. For the IgG, Ashley will need weekly infusions of antibodies for life because without them, her body would be unable to recognize or fight infection. With this disease, she is susceptible to chronic and reoccurring respiratory infections even with the blood transfusions. Its amazing what medicine can do these days.  Each dose is made from 1000 healthy donors!!! This will give Ashley a second chance at healing we are hoping.

As you can imagine, all of this combined with inability to work and limited government assistance has created an extreme financial hardship on Ashley’s family. This financial hardship is causing her tremendous stress which negatively effects her healing or ability to heal. If she doesn’t get stronger, she will eventually become a candidate for a heart transplant. She’s 32. At this point she would be happy to see her son graduate high school, but she deserves MUCH more than that. A small donation from many people would go a long way to help Ashley’s future and her family.
