Ashley's Fight Against Leukemia II

As a student at Iowa State University, Ashley was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2012. She was forced to drop out of school and begin her courageous fight against Leukemia.
After many ups and downs in her fight she was finally well enough to return to school. In August of 2013 Ashley returned to Iowa State to slowly begin to get her life back as she continued her treatment. Upon her return to Iowa State she excelled in and out of the classroom. Ashley maintains a 3.87gpa, is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and is on track to graduate in the spring of 2017.
She was involved with Colleges Against Cancer where she served as the Public Relations Chair, participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and organized campus blood drives.
As a family we couldn't be more proud of her! She put up a courageous fight and against an awful disease and has gotten her life back. She excels in the classroom and has found time to help others afflicted with cancer. With her last chemo treatment in the summer of 2014 with thought she had beaten this dreaded disease.
Sadly in July of 2015 we were notified that she had relapsed and the Leukemia was back. This was devastating news to her and her family. However, since we caught it early her prognosis is good and her doctors still feel that she is curable. With the support of family and friends she will once against put up another courageous fight against this disease.
All the proceeds will go to cover the expenses incurred in her treatment, finishing her degree, and her transition back into a cancer free life. Thank you! #FightOn
