Asael's Medical Fund

On June 12, 2016, Asael Abad like many others decided to go out with friends to enjoy a night out at Club Pulse but little did they know that their night of fun would turn into horrific scenes of chaos. Asael found himself in a position he never thought he’d be in a position to die or die trying. Asael kept hearing gun shots after gunshots and the smell of the gunpowder in the air. What felt like seconds were truly minutes, luckily he looks up and see the doors across the room were open. He quickly grabs his friends and rushes across the room hoping that a bullet doesn’t penetrate through their skin as they race to their freedom and safety. Fortunately, he and his two friends made it out of the building. Unfortunately, both of his friends did get shot one minor and the other now in stable condition. His heroic act did save them from a fatality. Once, the adrenaline left his body he also noticed some fragments struck him. He went to the ER where some were taken out but others remain. Although he wasn’t critically injured physically, mentally he has been damaged. A place where he has found comfort turned to a place that will forever haunt him. He is seeking therapy on a consistent basis and will be having to take off time from work. He is a flight attendant and after this trauma, he will need to work to expose himself to that environment again. As a recent graduate from UCF with looming student loans, I am asking for donations to help cover his time away from work and financial aid to help cover his medical bills.
