Arturo's Stroke Recovery

Arturo Brizuela is a kind-hearted man who loves life. Four months ago, Arturo was rushed to the hospital with a very high fever. After several exams, the doctors determined that he had contracted a mysterious bacteria infection while he was out of the country. The bacteria had already started eating his heart valves, so the doctors recommended an immediate open-heart surgery to replace four of his heart valves that were already damaged.
Although the surgery was successful, Arturo had a stroke four hours later. The doctors took him for a longer surgery to try to remove the aneurysm on his brain, however, this time they were not able to help him.
The stroke damaged the left side of his brain leaving him unable to move or speak. After two months of intensive care, the doctors told Silvia, his wife, that there was nothing they could do for him and that he might not be able to move again. Despite the doctor’s prognosis, Arturo has been slowly recovering and he is now regularly eating without the use of a feeding tube. He is still not able to move the right side of this body and can't speak, but he is able to understand.
Arturo's recuperation has just begun and there is still a long road ahead. Silvia, his wife, has been by his side as much as she can. She has faith that God will finish healing Arturo, but as of now, she is the only provider of their home and has to go to work everyday leaving Arturo in rehabilitation facility.
Silvia, is a loving and dedicated wife, who is doing the best that she can to take care of him everyday after work. Silvia and Arturo live in California so it is very hard for us, the family, to physically be there to help them, since most of us live in Texas and Arkansa.
We are currently raising money to help Arturo Brizuela's road to recovery. He needs a lot of care and intense therapy. The money donated will help cover his medical expenses, nursing facility and therapy. Any contribution either big or small can help this family. We appreciate anything your heart is willing to give. We want to see Arturo back to being the same kind-hearted husband and friend he always was!
