<div>For the past eight years, I have been raising my three beautiful children largely on my own, as my husband was forced to undergo voluntary deportation. This has been a profound journey of resilience, filled with countless moments of joy and heartache. I fought tirelessly for his return, balancing the responsibilities of a single parent while striving to keep our family afloat. Unfortunately, the emotional and financial toll of this situation has become overwhelming.

<div>As if that burden wasn’t heavy enough, I began experiencing alarming health issues that left me feeling lost and in pain. In April 2022, I started to suffer from severe visual disturbances and intense migraines. After a long and painful journey of misdiagnoses, I was finally admitted to the hospital, where doctors discovered that I have Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD)—a rare disorder affecting the optical nerve, spine, and brain. As if that wasn’t enough I was also informed that I have a rare blood clotting disorder, Antiphospholipid Syndrome. Both have profoundly affected my daily life.

<div>Though I have received a treatment plan and a glimmer of hope for recovery, the ongoing health challenges have significantly impacted my ability to work. As a travel advisor, my income relies on my capacity to connect with clients and deliver exceptional service. With my health declining, I find it increasingly difficult to manage these demands. As a result, my family is facing severe financial strain.
