My name is Lauren Richardson. I am here asking for your Shares, Prayers, and if you are able a monatary donation to my Mom, April Bonser-Schnur's, medical fund.
Our Goal is to raise $20k in the next 2 months to cover the medical insurance deductables that need to be met to move through the treatment of her cancer.

OUR STORY

2 weeks ago my Mom, who is also my best friend, let my brother and I know that she has been diagnosed with lung cancer for the 2nd time. To say that it knocked the wind out of us is an understatement! Now that the shock has worn off, we are ready to move!!!

WHY $20K?
-----------------
My Mom's diagnosis was in late November 2017. Shortly after, the new year came which startd the insurance cycle over. This resulted in having to meet 2 deductables back to back and early co-payments before a full diagnosis or treatment has even begun. In total, before surgery, we are already close to $20k in the hole.
My Mom needs these funds to cover the deductables and move onto treatment!

My mom is a survivor! Her first bout with cancer resulted in the removal of her left lung lobe, and until now she has been in remission for 8 years.
This cancer diagnosis is a different type of cancer than her first. This one is called Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Being the second time around it will be a different and more intense fight.

URGENCY
---------------
If caught early enough SCC is treatable through surgey. Surgery had been scheduled, but then was canceled after the discovery of 2 possibley canercous tumors in her brain. We cannot proceed with the lung surgery or treatment on the lungs until the brain issue has been addressed. It is so urgent that we have the funds so we can get the lung surgery scheduled before it spreads any further which will reduce it's abilty to be treated.
She is scheduled to have the brain tumors biopsied and removed in the next few weeks.
Not only is my mom a survivor, she is also a worker! As of about a week ago, symptons from her cancer have caused her to have to quit working. This is the first time in my life, that I have known my mom to not work.
Our goal is to raise $20k to cover the costs already incurred so that we can move forwad with the treamtents, and let her focus on the work needed to move through this!
