Anthem Cambodia 2018

Hi everyone!
I'm so excited for May of 2018, I'll have the priviledge of going to Cambodia for my second time with my Anthem School of Ministry class! 
Last year was my first overseas mission trip, so granted I was pretty scared of the unknown, but I had no idea how much I would love the country and the kids we got to spend time with, serve and learn from. I’m so excited to go back this year again! (and pack a little smarter) My favorite part of the trip last year was the one house we focused on for a week in Takeo Province. I remember standing up and introducing ourselves to the kids as we butcher our Khmer and the kids were tentative at first to be around us. However, even by the next couple days we were coloring, giving piggy back rides and taking lots of selfies with them. The emotional and physical toll was nothing in comparison to driving our bus up to their home and having the kids run up and hug you because they’re so excited to spend the day with you. They taught me a lot
We again will be partnering with the Foursquare Children of Promise (FCOP) and their vision for the nation. Their intent is to bring the people of an entire nation into a personal relationship with God. As they oversee and operate 100 orphan homes throughout Cambodia they will seek out the broken. The future of their nation rests in the children, so if each child were to be on fire for Jesus, revival would surely follow.

We can expect to be doing similar things in previous years; building a cement fence, painting buildings, loving on kids, visiting homes that we and the church has already has relationship with or making new relationships with families that need Jesus just as much! Our main goal is to love and serve as many people as we can!

There are incredible things happening in Cambodia and we are blessed to participate in what God is doing.
