ANNE GIRVAN IN HER TWILIGHT YEARS - HER LEGACY

My mom, (Mary Ann) and my aunt (Michele Evans)
Anne Girvan, is part of the proud and passionate Wolmer's legacy where she served as teacher, mentor, and assisant principal for 35+ years.  Affectionately known as 'Curvy Girvy' by some of her former students, her intellect and dynamic presence shaped minds and hearts of several generations of eager English Language and Literature students as well as the other students as well.  Her involvement in their lives and most of those she has touched, will forever be remembered and treasured.

Post retirement, she continued to make her mark on the educational landscape at JAMPRO and at CAST (now UTech), while remaining actively involved in various outreach programs at her church.

CURRENT HEALTH CHALLENGES

In recent years, however, significant health challenges, including hip replacement surgery, have begun to take their toll, even as Mom, now 91, was poised to enjoy her richly deserved Golden Years. These have included early-stage Vascular Dementia, Parkinson's Disease, and Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease as well as Diabetes and Anemia. This has necessitated several medications with round-the-clock nursing care and stringent monitoring alongside weekly physical therapy.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

With no personal insurance, and only a modest pension plan, we are reaching out to all those whose lives she loved and touched, to give back in any small way that you can, so that we can ensure that her few remaining years are spent in quiet dignity, with adequate medical and nursing care.

Please...Your generosity of spirit in this, her time of greatest need, will be treasured beyond measure! Thank You All.

P.S. - As her niece, I must add that she continues to smile despite her condition and is being VERY well cared for which makes my heart happy.  But I know that her care is very expensive and taking a toll on her only child, Mary Ann, who is working hard to give her mom the care she deserves.  Her nurses are wonderful and loving and kind....again costly, and beyond the continued ability of one person to sustain.  I pray that all of us who have known and loved my aunt, to please help through generous donations.  God Bless you, and God bless my auntie Lulu, Anne Girvan.
