Help Anna's cancer journey

What is the definition of a hero? It may be different to everyone, all I know is that my definition, embodies my mother. She is the most amazing, strongest, and loving person I've ever met in my life. She has the power to fix problems with a few kind words, and make you feel better with some home cooking. Many of you grew up with her, worked with her or just have had the pleasure of meeting her. She makes an impact on every person she comes across, and even years down the road, people tell me how much they love her. The road has not been an easy one for her. Growing up being a sick child was more then most bargain for. All the trips, flights, meals across the province, they spent whatever it took to get me in to see every doctor that was interested in my case. My parents have worked incredibly hard for their entire lives. I'm sure that our generation and the next will never know how 'hard' hardwork really was. My parents we're so supportive to different causes, and people that had less. They would give the shirts off their backs to make sure everyone was taken care of. These days, most of our time is spent travelling to different doctor appointments, and sadly back to the cancer Center. In 2012 my mom was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer, by accident. Some pain in her chest led to doctors in the emergency department finding a mass in her left lung, that ultimately was diagnosed as stage 3 malignant cancer. She then had surgery to remove to bottom lobe of her lung, but the cancer had spread into her lymph nodes. She then had multiple rounds of chemo, that ravaged her body but never her spirit. She always had a smile on her face and doctors and nurses we're blown away by her inspiring attitude was. After many tough months we found out that all our prayers have been answered and she was in remission. 3 happy years went by. We thought the worse was behind us, when we found out it was back, and it had spread to both sides her lungs. The doctors are very impressed that she's not worse, but she still has that positive attitude that's getting us all through this. My family is not one to ask for handouts, but it's come to a time where it's either pay bills, or pay for her medication. And no one should have to worry about these things while fighting for their life. This isn't even counting the alternative therapies we've looked into helping her but the price tag is just too high. We appreciate all your help and kind wishes, and we are forever great-full to have you all in our lives. Thank you so much.
