Beaten and left with nothing

My name is Melissa Davis
The woman in the picture is my Mother, Elizabeth Ann Fortune.
On August 16, 2014 she was brutally beaten by her partner of 25 yrs. I AM NOT ALLOWED TO DISCLOSE HIS NAME AS WE ARE IN AN ACTIVE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION. HE HAS BEEN PLACED UNDER ARREST!!!

As a family, his name is NOT WORTH mentioning!!
We are grateful to God that he did not kill her that night.
She was air lifted to Shands hospital in Gainsville, FL as the local hospital feared she had bleeding on her brain.
Her bruises are healing and thank God she is a fighter!!! 
My Mother has been left with nothing. As a family we are all trying to pull together and help. But it just isn't enough.
The funds that are raised will help get her back to Illinois to pack her belongings and restart her life back in Florida. 
It's a 15 hour drive. She'll need funds that will allow her to get a moving truck and hire movers to help her with the heavy stuff as well as the cost of fuel. We are hoping that her story touches as many people as possible.
