Angie Atkins Mother Of 3

My name is Mike, and I (as well as his brothers and sisters @EMU) want to take a moment to reach out in the hopes of helping a friend.  On March 2, 2018, Matt Atkins' world changed forever for the darker.  His beloved wife, Angie Atkins, was killed in a tragic car accident. Angie was a lover of nature.  She spent her spare time tending to her garden and flowers as well as attempting to keep all the wildlife she encountered well fed.  Her warm smile brought joy everywhere she went. Where as she loved nature, nothing could match her love for her family.  Matt and Angie were married for 15 years and share three beautiful daughters aged 15, 13, and 9 years old.  Now that you know a bit about this wonderful woman we are mourning, we are asking for help.  The Atkins family has been through the ringer these last few days.  Their 13 year old daughter was in the car during the accident that took her mother's life and herself suffered broken bones as well as having to live through the accident.  Now Matt is having to try to step into his wife's shoes as best he is able and try to pull his family forward through his own grief.  As anyone who has lost a loved one can attest to, funerals and the grieving process are expensive.  I personally can't imagine what this family struggles with every night as they try to make sense of their new reality.  I'm hoping we can all come together and help ease the only burden that is really in our power to help with...money to get through and survive as they heal.  I thank you for your time and donations and I know they will be greatly appreciated by the Atkins family.  Here is a copy of the news story article detailing the accident. http://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/index.ssf/2018/03/westland_woman_killed_in_traff.html
