Little Miss Leilany Bravo is the most unique, lovable, caring child any one would want to have in their lives. Her laugh and silliness brightens up everyone's mood. She is a spunky 7 year-old with a big heart!
Despite her young age, Miss Leilany has been through some life experiences that most of us as adults dont go through. At the age of 3 she witnessed her mother being brutally mudered by her own father. Her 9 year old sister was diagnosed with epilepsy, and now she herself is battling Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.
For those who don't know what Neuroblastoma is it a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in nerve tissue of the adrenal gland, neck, chest, or spinal cord. You can learn more about the disease here: www.cancer.gov
Leilany is being raised by her Grandmother Hilda Bravo who herself is caring for her husband who also has cancer. Hilda drives daily back and forth to the Children's Hospital in Oakland, CA to ensure that Leilany is getting the treatment she needs. Due to the medical needs of her family, Hilda is not working and the costs are adding up fast.
Leilany's cancer is being fed by 4 main tumors. They are deemed agressive and have invaded her little body. The chemotherapy treatments that Leilany is receiving is also strong and agressive. Despite all of this, she remains strong and happy.
The reality is that unless a miracle happens quickly, Leilany will not survive.
The money being raised will be used to help the family with medical expenses, bills, and other necessities for the family. In addition, Leilany turns 8 years old in November. Her family and friends want to give Leilany a birthday party that will bring her some light, laughter, and peace in this dark time.
