Please help Angela and her brother

Anyone who knows me knows I don’t like to ask for money or help, however God has put this on my heart and I felt the need to put this out there. This is the story of my daughter’s best friend. She’s a beautiful girl named Angela. This past week while most of us were enjoying our Thanksgiving dinner, Angela and her little brother were at the hospital sitting beside their mom. Angela’s mom has suffered a long illness, and collapsed last week unable to breathe. She was rushed to the hospital and admitted to ICU. She never woke up. The doctors told Angela that her mother actually died in Angela’s arms before the ambulance got there, even though Angela and her family did CPR on her for at least 10 minutes. She was pronounced on Friday November 24, 2017 at 3:13 pm,  the day after Thanksgiving. While most of us were preparing for Thanksgiving, eating with our families and shopping the day after, Angela spent the entire week at the hospital. She never left her mom’s side, afraid that she wouldn’t be there if her mom did wake up. Angela has been helping take care of her mom for the past few years. Her mom had a long list of medical problems, including a tracheostomy. Despite all of these problems, I never saw Angela or her mom without a smile on either of their faces. Angela’s Mom was a very sweet lady, and that sweetness comes through Angela’s beautiful personality. Angela turned 16 two days before her mom collapsed, but she’s so much older mentally because of the enormous task of helping to take care of her mom and her little brother. She lives with her grandfather and helps him every day as well. She will tell you that her heroes are her mom and her grandfather. Now Angela is having to help support her family, and although she is a tough little cookie, she is so distraught right now. I cannot imagine how scary that must be. I have started this page to help raise money for hospital expenses and to help Angela and her grandfather get on their feet while they go through this very hard time. Her grandfather is a great man, but he is on a fixed income, and not in the best of health himself. Even if you can only give a dollar, please consider giving something to this sweet girl who is going through something no child should ever have to face....taking care of her family in the absence of her mom.
