Angels for Aly

On September 22, 2018 the world lost a beautiful, happy, and loving little girl, Aly Rose Cerone. Unfortunately, the Cerone family, lost so much more than that. They lost the one thing in this world they would do anything to protect, their little baby girl. Every parent’s greatest fear came true for this wonderful, caring and devoted couple without even a single warning. It is now up to family and friends to support Steven and Alicia as they try to regain a sense of normalcy, while never forgetting the unconditional love they felt for their precious Aly Rose.
With an overwhelming amount of family, friends and even strangers asking what they can do to help, a close group of Steven and Alicia’s friends have started a GoFundMe page “Angels for Aly.” We completely understand that who was lost can never be replaced. Steven and Alicia would throw away all the money in the world for just one more hug and kiss from Aly. We hope that one day this contribution will find a way to help them. Whether the Cerone Family decides to donate this money in Aly’s name, use it for unforeseen expenses, use it to take away some of the daily burdens of everyday life, or even to travel some day, we felt like it was important to allow THEM to make this decision. Selfishly, we admit that this account is not just for Steven and Alicia. It is for all of us that want so badly to find a way to help, but continue to realize that there will never be enough for us to do to satisfy this feeling.
At the time of this post, September 25, Aly would have been celebrating her 2nd birthday with two people that love her more than life itself. Despite the grief they are feeling, both Steven and Alicia have expressed how thankful they are for the past two years. How thankful they are to have felt the love that only exists between a parent and their child, and how thankful they are to have allowed Aly to impact their lives in the way she has. As we grieve today, let’s remember to celebrate all the joy that Aly brought into this world and all the love that she was able to receive in her time with us. Aly Rose, you will be loved always and will never be forgotten.
