About 5 years ago my life began to radically change. With a move to a new city, I was given
the opportunity to start fresh. I learned and experienced the importance of forming
relationships and I began to realize the significance of having a church family.
One Sunday, at my new church, a missionary from Africa shared about his
ministry. During his presentation, an older lady elbowed me and said, "That's
what you should be doing." Yes, as a child, I once had the dream of being a
missionary. This beautiful dream from my past once again reappeared in my life,
and I was unsure if I wanted to accept it.
From that moment, Jesus began teaching me the importance of partnering with Him and letting His plans take priority over my plans. He began planting hungry Christians all around me. They were pursuing God passionately and I began to do the same. God led me to places where the Holy Spirit was moving and teaching. God blessed me with an amazing Vineyard Church family. This family helped me see my worth in Jesus: that I am pure, holy and righteous because of Him. My frozen heart melted and I began to accept love again. I forgave those who hurt me in my past. I encountered God in amazing ways. Not only is He my God but, also my daddy, my mate, my friend. It is an amazing journey with Jesus! I continue to desire complete surrendered passionate love for Jesus that translates into being dangerous and living a radical life fully for Christ. As He did for me, I want to do with Him.
Now after five years of growing I have been Blessed with the opportunity to study with one of the great missionary's of history in the making, Heidi Baker and Iris Ministry's! What an opportunity!! Harvest School of Missions looks like this:
ALL FUNDING DUE BY APRIL 25, 2013 {VERY SOON!!}
Attend a missionary training school with Mozambican pastors and leaders
Be trained by Heidi and Rolland Baker and other international ministers and missionaries
Three months including extended outreaches: The schools dates are usually between 9-10 weeks. We have many international outreaches after the school that last from 2-4 weeks.
Go on extended evangelistic outreaches in local bush areas
Live with hundreds of children and experience the Father's heart
Gain understanding of how to minister cross-culturally
Get practically equipped for the physical challenges of third-world nations
Live with a company of abandoned, holy and whole-hearted lovers at the Iris Ministries Village of Joy in Pemba, Mozambique
