Andy's Cancer Treatment Fund

Donation protected
On October 6th, 2014, while receiving a routine physical, doctors found a mass in Andy's chest. After several days of uncertainty, everyone's worst fears were confirmed. On October 23rd, 2014, Andy was diagnosed with stage 2 high risk Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Hodgkin's Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is a network of nodes connected by vessels that drain fluid and waste products from the body.  Lymphoma occurs when the lymph node cells begin to multiply uncontrollably, producing malignant cells that have the abnormal ability to invade other tissues throughout the body.

Andrew "Andy" Reynolds is a husband, father and friend to many. He has dedicated himself to serving the citizens of Orange County (FL) since becoming a police officer in 2000. Andy recently married the love of his life, Kristy, on March 22, 2014 and together they are the parents to four amazing children; Andy's daughters Alana (11), Alyssa (6), and stepchildren Kaylee (11) and Mason (10).

Andy has already had multiple procedures in an attempt to slow the cancer and to prepare his body for the treatments that will hopefully stop the cancer. The first chemotherapy treatment began on October 24th, 2014, and he will undergo chemotherapy every two weeks for the next six months. The chemotherapy treatment will be followed up by an additional six to eight weeks of radiation. The radiation treatment will most likely take place in Jacksonville (FL) which will require Andy and Kristy to travel several hours from their home for the entirety of the treatment.

As anyone can imagine with four young children, the holidays approaching, and mounting medical bills this is going to be a long and hard battle for the Reynolds family. Andy is one of the nicest, most caring and giving people but he needs our love, prayers, and financial assistance to help lift the burden off of his family.

While Andy's prognosis is positive and typically Hodgkin's Disease responds well to chemotherapy treatments, the road to recovery will be long, difficult and very costly.
