<br /><br />                                       <strong> An appeal to help the Poor  Patients suffering from Mucormycosis</strong><br /><br /><br />Dear Friends,<br /> <br />Mucormycosis (black fungus) is creating havoc in India.<br /><br />        <iframe media_type="0" media_id="bMPWXCx2FrQ" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/bMPWXCx2FrQ/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe><br /><br /><br /><br />India has recorded more than  40,000 cases of Mucormycosis (black fungus).<br /><a href="https://www.livemint.com/news/india-records-over-40k-cases-of-mucormycosis-11624875874985.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://www.livemint.com/news/india-records-over-40k-cases-of-mucormycosis-11624875874985.html" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.livemint.com/news/india-records-over-40k-cases-of-mucormycosis-11624875874985.html</a></a> <br /><br />The treatment of rhinocerebral mucormycosis is surgery and medications. <br />Without medications, surgery is useless, and the mortality is 100%<br />Liposomal Amphotericin B  and Pozaconazole tablets are the medications used to treat Mucormycosis.<br /><br />Usually, patients are treated with Liposomal Amphotericin for at least one week and, after that, may be discharged home on Posaconazole tablets.<br />Each person affected by mucormycosis needs approximately 40 vials of Amphotericin B for 1-week treatment.<br />People affected by the black fungus in India are dying due to a lack of Liposomal Amphotericin B and Posaconazole tablets.<br />Many poor patients and their families are also financially devastated as they cannot afford the medicines.<br /><br />American Tamil Medical Association (ATMAUSA) is working very hard to donate medications to poor patients in India.<br /><br />American Tamil Medical Association has already spent $50,000 to treat Mucormycosis in India.<br /><br /><iframe media_type="0" media_id="IOPFxIEdAqo" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/IOPFxIEdAqo/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe><br /><br /><iframe media_type="0" media_id="XQwNcxmXGO4" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/XQwNcxmXGO4/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe><br /><iframe media_type="0" media_id="0oe5JKczpNs" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/0oe5JKczpNs/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe><iframe media_type="0" media_id="U0H2M49qdCk" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/U0H2M49qdCk/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe><br /><br />Our appeal to you is to contribute to the American Tamil Medical Association (ATMA), a registered 501 (C)(3) IRS tax-exempt charitable organization that will personally oversee this activity. We will use one hundred percent of the collected funds to procure medications to treat Mucormycosis.
