Amber, born April 30, 1988, was a loving mother of two children, Aidyn, 5, Austin, 4, and cherished wife of Adam McCutchen. Amber was also a beloved sister of Joseph Montmeny and daughter of Bonnie and David Montmeny.
Throughout her life, Amber lived to help others. As a child she volunteered through her church youthgroup, helping the elderly, painting homes for the disadvantaged and more. As she grew she became determined to become a nurse so she could continue to help people.
Amber's other passion was her children. She loved spending every minute that she could with her boys. She revelled in helping them grow and develop their talents and their passions. Her dream was to watch them grow into strong and talented men, and she was determined to do whatever she could to ensure that happened.
In 2011 Amber was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Over the next three years her life would be interrupted with multiple surgeries, rounds of radiation and even chemotherapy. She was determined to fight off the cancer so she could continue to live her dreams, but the harder she fought, the harder the cancer fought back until finally on Tuesday January 13th at 0844 Amber called it a draw and left this world to enjoy peace amongst the heavens.
One of Amber's final wishes were that we continue to honor her passions. The most important of which is her children. That is why, in lieu of flowers which will wilt and die, Amber has requested that the money instead be donated to her boys so that we can establish a college fund for them. This way, even in death, she can ensure they are afforded the opportunity to grow into strong and capable men.
We have established this GoFundMe as a way for all of Amber's family and friends around the world to help us honor Amber's wishes. All funds donated will be used to establish a 529 college savings fund for each of her boys.
