Help me kick cancer's butt

Donation protected
This Journey really began for me late January when my hand brushed across a large, candy "nerd", type lump in my right inner breast. During my self exam I realized that I had another lump on the outer right breast too. In the end we found 3 tumors, one of which had already grown a blood supply vein to it. Well, reader's digest version is that I was diagnosed with Stage 3B Invasive Ductal Carcinoma,Tumor Grade 3, March 13, 2013, at the ripe old age of 36. I have already had, 2 biopsies, 2 surgeries, a powerport placed, and more tests than I can remember. I just started my chemo, June 13, 2013 (13 is like my number in this dance I guess). I have 6mths worth of chemo, possible radiation, and 3-4 surgeries left. I am looking at another year before I can be "cancer free." I started this funding page, well by first swallowing a huge amount of pride, because Ken and I are at a point that we need help. Asking for this help is harder than taking on Cancer. Thankfully Ken's 21yr USN Submarine service has made it so that I have good health insurance. It still leaves us though with almost $1,000 a month in meds, all the co-pays (which add up very quickly), plus the money for gas/incidentals with having to drive an hour, each way, a few times a week for treatments/dr visits. There is also the cost associated with all the supplies for chemo, childcare, and being forced to eat out more because you are gone for 12hrs a day. The list goes on and on, and that's before you add your normal everyday run of the mill living expenses. Ken and I have pretty much exhausted our saving's at this point. The added stress of having to worry about our finances at a time when there is so much to worry about is not fun. Literally, everything extra we have is going to my cancer. So, I am swallowing every ounce of pride I have, and reaching out; I am asking that you please help me on my journey to kick Breast Cancer's ass. Even if you can not donate, please pass this page along, especially to our fellow Navy communities. Once again I can not even begin to explain how humbling this is. I am finding that cancer does its best to try and take as much from you as it can. Thank you everyone so much!!
