An Unexpected Nightmare

1am, Valentine's Day, 2018. Her 40th Birthday. The girls asleep in their rooms. Herself, semi-consciously asleep next to her love. Conscious enough to hear him holding his breath; an unavoidable trick of the mind in an attempt to undermine the dawning realization that a nightmare was quickly unfurling it's ugly wings.
Matthew Francis Heins left this sweet earth in the middle of the night, 2/14/2018, in spite of the exemplary efforts of his wife (and one of my best friends) Amanda Meck Heins and Roslyn's skilled emergency responders.
At the core of his life was his family. The ever protective husband and father, everything that he did, he did with the intention of creating a positive safe space for his wife, Amanda, their two daughters, Ariya and Adeline, and his mother, Anne.
Matt and Amanda were looking forward to being ahead of the game, the goal of being able to be out of debt and able to hire additional employees, so they could start to have some "down" time. The fire that rocked the Pacific Northwest this past fall, took a toll on their plans as tourism dried up. Still they were working harder than ever to achieve their goals in spite of everything.
In order to support this beloved family and to help fulfill Matt's goal of protecting and providing for his family, I am hoping that you will join me in donating funds to Matt Heins' memorial campaign.
Our initial goal of $30k dollars to help provide for all of the costs listed above. Matt, in spite of never believing it himself, had many friend The memorial funds will be used to cover associated costs of cremation, the Celebration of Life memorial, shore up debt incurred from lack of business during last fall's fire, and enable Amanda, Anne, and the girls to personally deliver Matt's ashes home, to Ireland.
