American Literary, commonly known as AmLit, is the American University literary magazine. AmLit is a student-run organization and we publish our magazine twice a year at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters. AmLit is the primary student-produced publication on AU's campus, featuring the highest degree of art, writing and photography submitted by the student community. The magazine is distributed not just to students but also to the general AU campus and the local DC community.
Due to recent budget cuts, the co-Editor-in-Chiefs, Michelle Merica and Sam Falewee, as well as the entire AmLit staff, is in need of your support in ensuring that AmLit remains a free magazine that continually has the necessary funds to produce an outlet to showcase inspiring and high quality student work. Most importantly, AmLit allows for the creative like-minded student amidst the political world of Washington, DC to be apart of a network of students who truly love art and pursue the belief that all art should be accessible to everyone. Thus, AmLit allows the opportunity for all students, be it a literature or poly-sci major, to help mold and create something beautiful, creative, and tangible.
