IC3 Alton Williams (Tre)

As you are all aware by now of the collision involving the USS John S. McCain (DDG-56) and Alnic MC in the Straits of Malacca of the coast of Singapore.
My name is Alton Williams Jr, the Father of Alton Williams III and we reside in Spring, Texas and all born and raised in Houston, Texas.
Our son, Alton Williams III (Tre) is stationed onboard. When we first heard the news and our hearts sank and we did all we could to get information. We waited patiently to hear from our son. Time went on and we received a message from Tre saying he was ok, he was shook but was ok. About an hour or hour an half earlier he woke up to hit the gym and get his morning routine started. During his library time is when the collison happened and the impact threw him across the room. Not knowing what happened or the extent of the damage and hearing the collision alarm he ran to his General Quarters station. Only to find out there is flooding in his berthing compartment and areas surrounding it. His compartment filled with water in less than 30 seconds. He lost everything he had in his berthing and work space. Alot of items will be replaced by Navy and other resources. This is to show what a support system he has outside of Navy with all Family, Friends and even present and prior Military. Sadly some of his shipmates were injured, missing or didnt make it out. He was one of the FEW fortunate to survive. 10 friends, co-workers, family and shipmates paid the ultimate cost.
We are asking family and friends to donate if you can to help him replace his lost belongings. He lost a full Navy seabag with all uniforms items and jackets, boots, under clothes, all civilian clothes for liberty port visits and other personal items needed for a deployment and return to Port. This will help offset any cost he may come across if he is granted permission to come home for any period of time from Japan to Texas. Any amount is greatly appreciated. These funds will be used to help Alton recupperate lost items as stated above. It will also help him assist his closest shipmates who do not have the outreach of support that he does. Once a target goal is close to being met all funds will be transferred to Tre to retrack his life in the Navy.
