Alpha Company, 5th Marines Reunion

There is a lot to be said about the bond Marines create during their time in combat; and the Marines of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines are no different.

Many Marines of Alpha Company served three consecutive tours in Iraq, starting with the
invasion of 2003, then on to the battle of Fallujah in 2004, and once more in the heart of the insurgency in Ramadi.

During these tours, the Marines built and cultivated bonds that will last forever and that symbolize the words “brothers-in-arms.” This brotherhood will live on forever.

As the 10-year anniversary of Alpha Company’s homecoming from Ramadi approaches, the Marines are yearning for a reunion. To be together once more to remember and honor our Marines who didn’t make it home. To sit and enjoy each other’s company as we did
10 years ago. Simply put, to remember our shared life experience that only we can understand.

While it is no secret that veterans across the United States are constantly battling the demons they brought home with them, it is our goal to provide a weekend of togetherness and emotional support for the Marines of Alpha Company by providing a safe and welcoming place.

We have a great reunion planned on October 3, 2015 in San Diego, California, that will bring the Marines and their families together and will allow us to bond once again.
