Thought maybe it'd help you to see the reason we're asking for your help. These are the faces of the children that are hungry for education...We want to help make that possible...in this picture, MLWGS alum Sara M. is reading a story to the kids - this was our first visit to Tzununa ...this Spring will be our third.. we want to take a big ol' check down there to build their library/community center! Please help.
Donna Dockery and I are asking you to fund a day's work for the carpenters who will build an important library in Tzununa, Guatemala. A master carpenter and two assistants earn just $12.00 per day...JUST ONE DAY! - $12.00!
As many of you know we've been working to raise money to support the building of a library/community center in Tzununa, Guatemala for a few years now. Education and literacy provide necessary tools for people to lift themselves out of poverty. Building this library is a really important event, one that will have a huge and lasting impact on the community (and beyond.) We'd like you to be a part of that.
Did you know that in Tzununa, the average income for a master carpenter and 2 assistants is approximately $12.00 per day - not per person, but for all 3! When we compare our income per day to that, it becomes clear how truly wealthy we are.
We are asking you to fund a day's work for the carpenters who will work to build this important library. JUST ONE DAY! - $12.00!
If every friend would do this, we could have the library built in no time!
If you can do more, DO MORE! We have an opportunity to do something really meaningful here. JOIN US AND PAY FOR A DAY!
