Aligning Stars Summer Stage

For the past 9 years Aligning Stars Theatre has been doing summer stage theatre under the umbrella of a school district.  While it was a pretty sweet deal, all proceeds went back to that school district, and we were limited in what shows we could produce.  In our 10th year, Aligning Stars is breaking out on its own. 

What does this mean?
1. We have more freedom in show selection and content - yay
2. We get to create a nest egg, we don't need to start from scratch every year - yay
3. We need to pay for rights/royalties on our own - yikes
4. We need to pay for rehearsal/performance space- yikes

This past few months we have raised around $2000.  In order to pay for the rights and royalties for the summer show, we need around $4000 more.  Anything raised above this amount will go towards rehearsal space, costumes and set. 

I hope to keep theatre in our small community accessible to everyone.  I want to keep participation fees low.  Over the years, hundreds of young, and young at heart, actors have participated in this program.

We hope to obtain the rights to Grease for this Summer.  This show will not only create excitement among the actors, but we hope it will bring in a big audience.
