Hi, we are friends of Alicia Kearney. We hope you have a minute to read her story.
Alicia is a single mom of three children, ages 18, 15 and 13. For years she has worked hard as a Certified Medical Assistant. She has done without vacations or luxury items in order to buy a modest house for her family. Finally, three years ago the stars aligned. An affordable house became available, interest rates plunged to 2.5% and Alicia and her partner each contributed a small down payment that was enough to finally buy a house. A dream was realized! They all lived happily ever after, right?
This is where the dream bubble burst. Jump ahead three years to August 2023, and Alicia was served with legal papers from her (now former) partner. Her legal options were (1) buy him out or (2) a court-ordered forced sale where the only profit will be for the attorneys. Unfortunately neither option is possible now, even though Alicia got a second job to make the mortgage payments by herself. And if this were not enough to worry about, her son Chris is scheduled for spinal surgery in October. The long recovery will go better for everyone their own house without the distraction of packing, moving and then trying to get settled in an unfamiliar place.

Alicia and her three kids are in dire need of support. They risk the possibility of losing their home, and the alternatives (with housing shortages and rental price increases) are limited and grim, especially with mortgage rates are now at 7%.
Alicia has a heart of gold and deserves a much better situation. The court date is approaching soon. Please support her and take a stand for a deserving single-parent family during this challenging time.
There are times when we ALL need a helping hand. Would you help, please?
