Hello All!
Let me first start by saying this has been a life changing year!
The Lord gave me a burden for missions in Ethiopia almost two years ago. Today (Feb. 8, 2013), I officially signed up to be on the list of about a dozen people to go on the Ethiopia mission trip in June of this same year with the First Baptist Church in The Woodlands. Two weeks ago, I applied for my passport and yesterday I started making calls to find out the best place to get all of my immunizations for the trip.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord in this capacity. I wish you all could see my excitement as I type this message right now! :)
The Lord is surely stretching and strengthening my faith through this exciting opportunity. I do not have all the money that I need to be able to go on this trip but already the Lord has starting providing to make it possible. I know that He is a rich God and that He can most definitely do all that seems impossible to me.
Having said that, I would like to give you the opportunity to play a part in my life and in the lives of the Oromo people in Ethiopia by making a commitment to pray for our trip, that the people would be receptive of the Lord, for our safety, and for the finances for me to be able to go.
