Dear Family, Friends and People Who Put Up With Me,
As many of you know God has been opening doors in my life for some crazy awesome things! Recently I found out some pretty exciting news: a door was opened for me to go to AFRICA in September of this year, 2015. How crazy is that?! My dream of serving on a Missions Trip in Africa is happening, Lord Willing! The trip is organized by a Missionary Couple, The Carlson’s, who have a passion for working in Children’s Ministries around the world. I met this couple when I was a “Camper Buddy” at the camp they co-founded for inner city foster children, Champions For Life kids camp. I have had the opportunity to work at the camp for the past 2 years and have seen God do amazing things in the lives of the campers, staff and volunteers!
During this trip we will be serving with Key of Hope, which is a children’s ministry in Durban, South Africa. There will be a team of 20 that will take approximately 80 kids to summer camp where they will learn about the love of Christ!! The trip is 14 days long and the cost is $3,500. The cost of the trip includes: airfare, food & lodging and supplies for the kids at camp
I know God has great things in store and I am excited to see what He has for me to do. There are two main avenues of partnership that I would like you to consider to help make this dream a reality. First, I am a firm believer that there is power in prayer and with God, nothing is im- possible! Would you be willing to pray for the team as we raise funds, as we travel and more importantly, as we work with children in South Africa, that we can show these children who Jesus is?? Secondly, I am asking you to consider financial partnership with the work that God is calling me to do in South Africa. The total cost of the mission’s trip is $3,500. Your gift will enable me to be a light and tell these children about the love of Jesus Christ. Please prayerful- ly consider giving a gift.
