My brave boy, Alexander, has had a lifetime of doctors, hospitals, surgeries, therapies, anxiety and pain. He was born with several congenital defects involving his heart, lungs and airways. Alex also has high funtioning Autism. For the past year he has been in pain daily and doctors here have not been able to find the source. He is on high doses of pain meds which only bring his relief to a 6/7 out of 10. He has had to bow out of the one activity he loves the most -theatre - due to the strain on his health. Alex is never without a smile, kind word and hopefulness for the future. We received the call today that Alex is set to go into the Mayo Clinic in Rochester 10 days before Christmas, on Dec. 15th. We are unsure of the length of our stay. The never ending bills, scarcely being able to work, 2 other wonderful children, lodging and travel to Mayo, as well as upcoming holidays have put us in a place to ask for your help. Thank you so much for all the kind words, prayers and encouragement throughout these challenging years.
