Continuous Care for Little Alex

Little Alex was a near drown victim back in March 2012. 2 days after his family moved to Florida he went missing & was found at the bottom of a pool. A police officer pulled him out & his father gave him CPR til the medics got there to jump start his heart. Alex remained in a coma for almost 6 wks with doctors saying he would never come off life support, open his eyes or ever smile. With a lot of prayers from all over a little miracle happened & Alex opened his eyes. All of a sudden there was some hope but a very long way still to go. Eventually he was breathing on his own again, opening his eyes & even smiling. Alex suffered severe brain damage leaving him with only about 4% brain activity & in a vegetation state. Doctors said he would never recover & be like this the rest of his life. Alex has a long way to recovery & althought his insurance covers alot of the basics things he will need to survive there are still alot of things we will encounter in the future that insurance dont cover such as a special tub for bathing him when he gets bigger & certain chairs that he can sit it so he is not constantly in his bed or wheelchair. Alex is a Fighter & has come a long way since the tragic accident.
