El pasado 27 de agosto, Ale Porcayo entro en terapia intensiva en el Centro Medico Toluca, y aunque al principio fue complicado hacer un diagnostico, pronto nos enteramos que tenia una encefalitis viral.

Esta enfermedad es una inflamacion del cerebro producida por un virus... en el caso de Ale aun no sabemos que virus es. Lo que si sabemos es que el tratamiento es lento y delicado y que requiere constante monitoreo, por lo que debe estar en terapia intensiva y no puede pasar a habitacion regular y mucho menos ir a casa.
Inicialmente el seguro del trabajo de su papa, Ruben, cubrio los gastos, y el seguro de la escuela de Ale ayudo bastante, pero va tanto tiempo que ambos seguros terminaron de cubrirla y los gastos corren ahora por cuenta de la familia. Ya estan vendiendo sus autos y disponiendo de sus ahorros, y aun asi no sabemos si sea suficiente. Es ahi donde entramos todos a ayudar.
Es el momento de demostrar que estamos con la familia Porcayo en las buenas y en las malas y que los queremos y los queremos ver bien y sanos, contentos, y disfrutando de la vida. Ale tiene un futuro brillante, Rubencito (el hermano mayor de Ale) tambien, y estoy seguro que juntos podemos ayudar a que este futuro se logre.

Last August 27th, Alejandra Porcayo (Ale for her friends and family) was admitted into the ICU unit of the Centro Medico Toluca, a hospital in Estado de Mexico. Her initial diagnosis was very difficult, and the doctors were puzzled, but after careful diagnosis they came to the conclusion that she had Viral Encephalitis.

Simply put, it is inflammation of the brain, and it is a very delicate condition. So delicate that she has to be under constant monitoring in the ICU and cannot just go to a hospital room or have her sent home for care.
Initially, Ruben's insurance (her dad, who is a wonderful person and an excellent father) covered her hospital costos, and Alejandras school insurance covered another generous amount. However both insurance coverages ran out and now the family is paying for everything out of their own pocket.
Of course they are selling their cars and emptying their savings accounts, but even this is not enough. ICU 24x7 is very expensive, and her doctors are specialists. THIS is where YOU come in!
It is the time to show what united we can do. Time to help a family in need. Time to show the Porcayo family that we care for them and love them, and want them to be happy and healthy again, as a family.
Alejandra has a brilliant future, and so does her brother (Rubencito) and both their parents. I am sure with your contribution we can help them make this future happen.
