Support Alanna's Opportunity to NYC

My name is Alanna Logan. I’m 14-years-old. I’m an honor roll student at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. I’ve been dancing since I was 2. I have experience in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, and pointe work.

     I’ve performed in numerous dance recitals and competitions. I perform with my dance company in May at the Kennedy Center, Duke Ellington Theatre, and the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC, in celebration of dance month.

     I’ve taken numerous dance workshops and trainings with Elite choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Dave Scott, Gil Duldulao, Desmond Richardson, Chloe and Maud Arnold, Michelle Dorrance, Jason Samuels Smith, Luam Keflezgy, and many others.

     I did a guest performance at the African Heritage Museum in Boston for Maurice Hines, brother of the late Gregory Hines. I competed in the Pulse on Tour in Boston and received Protégé recognition in their highest category, which is considered 18+ (Advanced Pro). This has given me the opportunity to advance to the highest level, which takes place in New York City in July 2014.

    The event is a weeklong. It will amount to approximately $3,500. It will include lodging, transportation, meals, all classes, training, and performances.

    I would love to participate in this national event, but would need your financial support. I’m asking all of my family and friends to help support me in reaching my financial goal. Thank you all for your support.
