Blessings of Health, Healing of Akayla 

Akayla is a brave and courageous little girl. She's a gentle, loving, funny, A very happy little 2 years old. 

On February 26th, 2013 we received the devastating news that our beautiful baby girl had diagnosed with acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She admitted to CHOC Hosptial Intensive Care Unit in Orange County Ca.

As if the diagnosis of Leukemia wasn't bad enough, my wife, my son and I have recently learned that neither of us are suitable matches for a bone marrow transplant. 

She had a Lumbar Puncture, Bone Marrow Biopsy and Had a Port-a-Cath inserted into her chest for easier access with Chemo. She had multiple bone marrow biopsies which showed questionable diagnosis and her bone marrow demonstrated atypical, immature lymphoid proliferation. She has been undergoing rigorous chemotherapy treatments.

Her therapy was stop on June 25 2013 due to discrepancy in initial diagnosis of acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia versus bone marrow failure with unknown etiology. 

Akayla is now 3 years old. She's an amazingly strong little girl and now facing a huge fight, she has endured more in her 3 years than most people will in a lifetime. She is strong and she is a fighter. For the past 10 months, my wife and I have been at her bedside. We will not stop believing in our daughter or each other as we stand together in the biggest fight of our life and live life in celebration of our amazing little princess. 

My family faces a long ordeal in the upcoming year. Its going to be a tough road ahead.  

Along with the day to day incident costs have had a significant financial impact
