Hey! We’re Boris and Shimyrre, a newly engaged couple excited to begin the next phase of our lives together in our new home, a vintage 32 ft Airstream Excella. Problem is we’re short on wheels, our much loved Matrix won’t make the cut. We need a capable truck to tow our 7,000 lb abode across the country as we explore nature, art and culture, and maybe even find the right community to create a more permanent bungalow. A life full of discovery, adventure and constant creation is what we’re aiming for, something we’ve come to call ‘cultivating the soul’. Won’t you help us?!
To tell you more…
We’ve always had the travel bug in one way or another and we like doing things a bit differently than most. One of our larger desires is to create a lifestyle that maximizes our flexibility and freedom without being surrounded by significant financial debt. Living in an Airstream full time is a great way to maintain a home base and travel in style. Plus we appreciate quality over quantity. Supporting our livelihood by offering our crafts and passions in various shapes and forms is exciting, romantic and very possible with some practical know-how. We are fortunate (and some say a little crazy) to be able to take our trades on the road. We expect it to be a learning experience and wouldn’t be surprised if they transformed a bit along the way. Boris is a graphic designer *orangemonkey.co and all around creative guy and Shimyrre is an herbalist and wine enthusiast who really enjoys sharing her infatuation with plants and food with others. about.me/shimyrre
What kind of truck do we need you may ask…
After much research and seeking advice from friends and folks with truck know-how we’re thinking a gently used Ford F250, Dodge Ram or something of the like would do the trick. These trucks can handle the additional weight of our personal items in the ‘Stream and the varied elevations we’ll encounter around the country. The bed of the truck will also serve as added storage.
We still have to pick up our Airstream from it’s current home in Austin, Texas and bring it back to the Phoenix desert, home for now until we get on the road in the coming months. Time is short as the plan is to get it in early September! JUST A FEW WEEKS LEFT!! Any assistance would be so appreciated, below are some tokens of gratitude for your thoughtfulness. If we’re so lucky to exceed our request any extra funds will go to our wish list items like solar panels or deep cycle batteries to be less tethered to the grid and a veggie conversion kit should we get a diesel truck.
Thanks in advance for helping us, the sooner we get wheels the sooner our adventure (and honeymoon!) begins!
*Please allow up to 30 days after the completion of our campaign to receive your thank you gift!
