Aiden's Leukemia Fight
Aiden is a miracle child who is lucky to even be here. (After his mother’s fight with cervical cancer, she was told children weren’t possible).
By 2 ½ years old, Aiden had suffered two broken arms, (without a real cause being known).
He had been experiencing left eye droop and numbed speech along with left and right arm/hand pain for months.
Sent home by two hospitals and countless doctors, the family was told to follow up with a specialist.
One amazing doctor decided to look a little bit further, (even after Aiden was discharged), and the doctor’s instinct paid off.
Images showed a mass going through the left orbital bone and a mass in his wrist. There was also bone deterioration and weakening in his hands and forearms.
The family was sent to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where a team of doctors began testing, (x-rays, CT scans, MRI’s and countless blood draws).
After a surgery to biopsy the mass, they began to test and test and test…
The only thing we know is that there is a malignancy that they cannot identify.
They have had ortho and oncology specialists, along with the head of Pathology at CHLA exam Aiden, but they have been unable to identify the cause of his illness. As a result we have not been given a current plan for treatment.
To be with Aiden full time, his mother had to stop working. Expenses that they did not expect include:
food, gas, parking fees, copays, further treatment, (outpatient traveling to and from home), and keeping up with the household rent etc.
Aiden loves science, outer space, helicopters, airplanes and racecars. He is missing his best friend Schatzi, his dog. He’s also misses his bunny & kitties and riding his bike.
Please pray for Aiden and his family. They will need all of the prayers and support they can get.
