I have recently been accepted to Operation Crossroads Africa. I will be volunteering for 7 weeks in Ghana. Through this program, I will connect with local members of the communty while learning about their culture and sharing mine. It has been my dream to visit The Motherland since I can remember. This trip can only happen with your help!

I am a 19 year old, 1st semester senior, scheduled to graduate December 2014. I am currently taking 19 credit hours and have a number of academic research obligations. Unfortunetly, I do not have time to work to fully fund my trip. My only option right now is to call on the people I know and love and ask them for their financial assistance. 

I am the Founder and President of Cultural Innovation, a student organization here at Fisk University. The purpose of Cultural Innovation is to increase cultural awareness among Black college students. This trip to Africa will expand my perspective and consciousness and cultuvate my academic and personal goals. Please help me fund my dream, I would hate to give up this wonderful opportunity.

I intend on documenting my experiences throughout my trip. I will use those experiences to create a written portfolio for all who donate $100 or more.
