Fund Raising for ADINATH GHADI's Heart

Hi Friends & Family,
Ok... the back story is that I am setting up this campaign on my sister's behalf. She has a patient named Adinath, lovingly called ADI. ADI is an 18-month old boy from Mumbai, Maharashtra (India) who has Down’s Syndrome and is suffering from a serious heart problem called Atrial Septal Defect.
In simple terms, ADI has a hole in his heart. Because of which the blood supply to various body parts is insufficient. As a result, his growth and development are affected and he is unable to gain body weight. We are trying to get help to treat his condition which otherwise could be life threatening in the longer run, or at a bare minimum limit his growth and development in the formative years.
Being an Occupational therapist specialized in the field of Pediatrics, my sister came cross Adi in early March this year. Unlike other kids of Adi’s age, he is not able to stand without support or perform most of the age-appropriate activities. My sister is currently treating Adi to alleviate these problems. I am adding the details I was able to understand from my sister's message and it says that his latest 2D Echo reports indicate that the size of the hole has increased to 9 mm, causing an increase in blood pressure in the heart and also mixing of pure and impure blood (medically known as Mild Tricuspid Regurgitation).
His cardiologist has recommended an immediate surgical intervention called “Atrial Septal Deficit Closure”. It is a 2-4 hour open heart surgery which repairs the hole, either by closing the hole with stitches or by placing a patch over it.
If you need more details I could share it with you… but in summary we have to raise money for his treatment and thus I am setting up this crowd funding campaign. The hospital has already waived of the operational fees, but the family has to manage the operation supplies which they are managing to the best of their resources.
They are still falling short of about Rs. 1 lac (or $2000). To raise this last sum of money we need some support. My family and I are contributing to this cause and request you to join hands in helping Adi lead a healthy life.
The operation is scheduled on 26th of July, 2014. Kindly help and share this message with others who you think will support the cause.
