 En los últimos días recibimos noticias que nos rompieron el corazón. Después de perder el lugar donde vivía, nuestro papá terminó viviendo en condiciones extremadamente precarias. Personas que lo conocen nos contaron que su estado físico y mental ha empeorado acelerada y considerablemente, hasta el punto de que no puede cuidar de sí mismo. Fue llevado primero a recibir atención médica básica y luego al Refugio Esperanza (Homeless Shelter) donde permanece mientras tratamos de entender cuál es la mejor forma de ayudarlo

 Nuestro papá vive con un deterioro cognitivo avanzado que le impide tomar decisiones por sí solo y necesita atención, supervisión y cuidados permanentes. Como muchos saben, la situación en Venezuela hace que acceder a atención médica, medicamentos, documentación y cuidados especializados sea especialmente complejo y costoso.

<div>Por eso, por primera vez nos vemos en la necesidad de pedir ayuda. Nuestro objetivo es poder poner a nuestro papá a salvo y garantizar que reciba el cuidado que necesita. Aún estamos evaluando cuál será la mejor alternativa según su estado de salud, la documentación que logremos obtener y las posibilidades de trasladarlo a un lugar donde pueda vivir acompañado y recibir atención permanente.
