Provide lifesaving treatment to animals in need

Tax deductible
Bear came into Animal Welfare League Queensland ’s care through one of our community vet clinics after being hit by a car.

With multiple injuries, including a broken front leg and back leg, Bear was in need of extensive lifesaving treatment. This was only possible due to generous supporters like you.

Animal Welfare League Queensland desperately needs new lifesaving veterinary equipment, so we can continue to help animals like Bear.

We are hoping our community of kind supporters will assist Animal Welfare league Queensland to achieve our goal of raising $50,000.00 to purchase this equipment.

Your support will enable us to provide lifesaving treatment to abandoned and homeless animals in need.

Animals like Bear, who is on a journey to recovery and has a heart warming story to share that is something we could all do with right nowBear is making incredible progress while being cared for by Lucie, his foster carer, who has an update to share with you ....

Bear is walking again! He was so happy to finally have freedom, sniffing so many new smells. Bear has gone from needing to be carried when crossing a road, due to his fear of cars, to leaping and bounding across because he knows he is heading to the park. He has also recently been on his first run – he is a great running buddy.

Life with only three legs has not slowed Bear down. You would never know – he is such a happy, bouncy, energetic, playful boy. Bear has learned to hop up and down stairs with only three legs.

He wakes me up at 6am every morning for a walk, he nudges me with his nose until I get up, and we always see the same crew. There are two other amputee dogs we always run into and seeing them play with each other makes me want to cry. Just three dogs with 9 legs between them having the best time, probably the cutest thing you've ever seen! He is great with other dogs, people and absolutely loves and melts around children.

It has been such an honour to be the foster carer of this special boy and witness his amazing recovery.

We are aware that these times are challenging for us all. We also know that you join us in caring deeply about abandoned and homeless animals.

If you are in a position to give, please know that your help is critical in supporting Animal Welfare League Queensland’s lifesaving work and will be very much appreciated.

Thank you for your compassion today and your support.

Please stay safe and take care,
