Hi! My name is Nicholas Tamayo. I sincerely thank you for taking time to view my campaign story! I am a college freshman biochemistry and molecular biology major with an aim of going to medical school and becoming an obstetrician/gynecologist. To get into medical school I will need doctoral shadowing hours.
When I stumbled across Atlantis Fellowships as I was researching shadowing opportunities I was immediately drawn to what they offer. They give students the opportunity to shadow abroad for 20+ hours a week and serve in communities in other countries. I decided to apply and I was blessed to be accepted as an Atlantis Fellow. I will be travelling to Turin, Italy this May! I am extremely excited to shadow physicians and see the medical field from a cross-cultural perspective and affirm my pursuit of becoming an OB-GYN or be moved to the right path.
The cost of my fellowship is $4509 but I am planning to raise $5500 to afford flights, additional food, and other expenses. This is where I need your help- If you are willing and able to partner with me in my medical pursuits I would greatly appreciate a contribution of any amount. Whether it is $10, $20, $50, $100, or $500, I would appreciate anything you are willing and able to give. If you do decide to partner with me I will keep you updated on my journey and will be happy to share what I learned from it!
